What blog?

Oops! This is definitely something I have been meaning to get around to, but sometimes, you just get busy with your life 4,892 miles away from your home.

"So, what have we been up to?" you may ask. Well, ... We went to Mongolia. I had a girls weekend in Selce. We had a Derby party. We went to Rabac, Pula, and Labin. Then, last weekend, my parents visited and we took them to Rovinj. Although this is very unusual for me, I just don't have much to say.

Sometimes I feel homesick. Sometimes, I am filled to the brim with gratitude for this amazing experience and simply thankful for my everyday life. Usually, I'm somewhere in between. But, here are some of our adventures, in pictures -

MONGOLIA!

Inside the ger.

The chap on his face can tell you a lot.

Standing on frozen pond. How about you?

Wiiiiiiiiiild horses! You sing the rest.

Then, we skyped Luann. No doye!

Gracie's friend's ger. We slept here for a night.

Tolga taught us how to make soy bin (sp?)

Made friends with some reindeer.

Flew back.
SELCE - because sometimes, you just need your girlfriends!

Go ahead and put us on a pedestal. :)

DERBY PARTY- talk Derby to me... in Hrvatski (croatian)

Dan ate the last chicken wing. Ian was NOT happy. :P

Even Xena was dressed to impress.

My very own Colonel Sanders

RABAC, PULA, & LABIN
Our first motorcycle trip to the coast!

The scenery was breathtaking and the aromas were delightful! Onion grass, the sea, and lavendar!

Almost to Rijeka!

Rabac - the old town

Pula

At least all the rain gave us a rainbow! :)

We followed it to the other end ... no gold. And come to think of it, no leprechaun either! Curious.

Labin

The beach at our hotel in Rabac.

He's braver than me! It took his breath away it was so cold.

MY PARENTS VISIT ZAGREB AND ROVINJ -

At a restaurant overlooking the city. Unfortunately, my camera ran out of juice, so this is the only pic I have of them in Zagreb.
Ian: Look at all the white flowers!
Upon closer investigation... SNOW. Thank goodness it was warm and sunny below!

Rovinj - I HIGHLY recommend it!

I positively love that guy!

It meant so much to me to have my parents here. I got all choked up at the airport when I picked them up. I'm glad that moving so far away has helped me to see just how lucky of a person I truly am. Thanks for everything, Mom and Dad! Love you. Mwah!
